“She broke up with me. What do I do? Can she come back? How can I get her back? I can’t–I can’t get her to talk to me. It’s all so screwed up. I feel like crying. She gave me a pen. I gave her my heart and she gave me a pen.”
I don’t know what to do with it. Every time I see it, I’m reminded of what we had, and what we’ve lost. It’s like this small, inanimate object holds so much power over my emotions. I know I need to move on, but it’s just so hard.
Maybe I should start by focusing on myself, trying to find happiness within me instead of looking for it in someone else. I could pick up a new hobby, reconnect with old friends, or even just take some time to reflect on what I want out of life. It’s not going to be easy, but perhaps it’s the first step toward healing.
I also need to remind myself that it’s okay to feel this way, to grieve the end of a relationship. It’s a natural part of the process, and in time, the pain will lessen. If she comes back, it will be because it’s meant to be. If not, I’ll find peace in knowing that I did everything I could.
And maybe, just maybe, I’ll find someone who will cherish my heart as much as I cherish theirs. Until then, I’ll hold onto the good memories and let the pen be a symbol of a chapter that’s closed, but not forgotten.
