Jan Tanury is tall, plus-size, and grew up at a time when size-inclusive fashion simply didn’t exist. At 13, standing 5’10” and shopping plus sizes in the early 1980s, “stylish” wasn’t an option just whatever fit. She spent years dressing around limitations that had nothing to do with her.
In 2003, at 29, she stopped waiting for the industry to catch up and opened Botticelli Boutique. The mission was clear: no woman should have to choose between style and fit. From day one, Botticelli focused on real bodies, real proportions, and women living full lives not runway fantasies. The goal was never just to sell clothing. It was to make sure every woman walked out feeling like herself, only better.
